'There are no restrictions, but...'
In recent months the debate about the freedom to take photographs in public has been making headlines in
various publication. The following article,
outlining the governments position on this was published in the 'The Register'.
In essence it indicates that as far as the Government are concerned
there are no restrictions, but the Home Secretary added "Decisions
may be made locally to restrict or monitor photography in reasonable
circumstances. That is an operational decision for the officers involved
based on the individual circumstances of each situation". You can find the
